Welcome to Modern-Day Publishing

My name is Colt Camron. I am a composer, educator, conductor, and baritone vocalist that is passionate about all things music! This website is intended to be a home for my work and a platform to commission music. With traditional music publishing companies, composers often lose the rights to their music, large portions of revenue are taken from the artist in royalties, and great writers get lost in the sea of “fast-food” composers that seek to make quick profits from the newest arrangements of pop tunes or Broadway hits. Because of this, more and more composers are turning to self-publishing. This is where myself and my website come into the picture! With this space, I am able to publish my own work, keep the rights to my music, control where my music is located on the web, advocate for myself as a composer, and work personally with other musicians and consumers. Of course, without the publicity of publishing houses, I rely on advertisement through word-of-mouth.
